  | The Flexi Mobil terminal can process payment transactions practically anywhere with lower communication costs – and in record time. The terminal is based on the newest technology that combines powerful functions, high security and excellent communication options (GSM and GPRS).
A fast and user-friendly terminal
With the Flexi Mobil, every transaction is processed in front of the cardholder. A wireless connection to the server centre is established for authorisation requests, online payments, etc. BBS Denmark has developed a terminal with an exceptionally powerful computer (ARM9 Risc 32-bit-processor) and a high-speed printer (15 l/s) in order to make the transactions go through as quickly as possible.
Ergonomic design that stands out a mile
The Flexi Mobil weighs less than 480 grams, which means that the terminal is both user-friendly and rests comfortably in the user’s hand. The chip reader is easily accessible and the magnetic strip reader is on the right-hand side of the terminal, guaranteeing that the cards will be read accurately. The large, back-lit display guides the user. The wide keypad makes it easy to enter information.
Security
Flexi Mobil is based on a technology which can be adapted to all national and international security provisions. The terminal is Visa PED certified for both online and offline use. In addition, thanks to a Risc 32-bit security processor, the PIN code entered remains confidential and the processing of encryption algorithms (DES, 3DES, RSA) is secured.
Fast transactions and savings with GPRS
When GPRS connection is used, the terminal functions by means of an IP address and is online at all times. It can obtain bank authorisation in just a few seconds, thus saving both shop owners and customers valuable minutes. What’s more, a fixed fee is normally charged for the GPRS connection, so electronic payment transaction costs are reduced.
Technology for the present and the future
The Flexi Mobil has been designed so it can be adapted to changes in the payment systems. It has a large memory capacity (8 + 8 MB), three SAM readers (Security Access Module) and offers the option of an SD or MMC card reader as extra equipment.
